Matt Presti | Mythematicians Exposed: Dispelling Dimensional Delusions and False Physics
Matt Presti returns to InnerVerse to discuss his new documentary, Dispelling Dimensional Madness: A Refutation of Gnosticism, Mythematics, and New Age Scientism. As one of the key thinkers responsible for restoring the legacy of illuminated physicist Walter Russell, Matt Presti is a powerful force for logic and knowledge, and in this episode we will put Simulation Theory and other such nonsense to the Sword (of truth).
In the oversized Plus+ Extension, we cover Alice in Wonderland's criticism of imaginary math, ghosts and spirits, hypercubes and tesseracts, Ma'at and myth, the nature of time, and seeing God by playing with magnets.

Core themes
A documentary aimed at dimensional delusion
Chance Garton welcomes back Matt Presti to unpack his film Dispelling Dimensional Madness, a ten year project built from more than two hundred hours of research. Presti argues that belief in higher dimensions is not ancient wisdom but a recent invention traced through spiritualism, scientific romance and academic mathematics. He says the hardest part of making the film was that he could find no other detractors, only papers written by people friendly to the idea. His stated purpose is blunt, to hold people's feet back to the ground and get their heads back into the life they are actually living.
Where the fourth dimension actually came from
The conversation walks the history in detail. Henry More coined the term fourth dimension in his 1671 Enchiridion Metaphysicum, opposing Cartesian dualism and describing a spiritual substance he called essential spissitude, essentially Plato's realm of ideal forms. Jean le Rond d'Alembert was the first mathematician to fold time in as a fourth dimension. Presti also cites Gerrard Hickson's book Kings Dethroned, which argues time cannot be a fourth dimension because length, breadth and width are not independent of one another, while Einstein treats his dimensions as if they were.
Seances, fraud and the fourth dimension craze
Presti traces the popular version of higher dimensions to the spiritualist craze of 1850s to 1880s London, which he calls New Age 1.0. Johann Zollner of Leipzig University hired the medium Henry Slade, recommended by Helena Blavatsky, who wrote on a chalk slate with his foot and claimed spirits in the fourth dimension were doing it. Slade was caught, fled Europe and died broke. Sir William Crookes, inventor of the cathode ray tube, was fooled at seances by a woman dressed as a ghost called Katie King.
Escapism, ascension symptoms and honesty
Both men separate healthy escape, a walk in the woods or a sitcom, from what Presti calls toxic escapism, the Gnostic sense that this place is a hell hole to flee. Chance pushes back gently on the flat earth example, noting most flat earthers he knows are homesteading rather than waiting for the ice wall. They then criticize ascension cults that rebrand poor health and unprocessed trauma as five dimensional ascension symptoms. Presti invokes Carl Jung, saying wholeness comes from integrating your own noetic darkness, and Chance argues honesty is the actual key to health.
Mind as the fulcrum and hermeticism as the alternative
The positive case is Walter Russell's cosmology, where light is the one substance and mind is the non dimensional cause. Presti reads from Atomic Suicide by Walter and Lao Russell on everything being three, then extends the point through fulcrums, the door jamb, the guitar bridge, the seesaw, motion always moving on stillness at ninety degrees. Chance connects this to his biofield tuning work and to mind as the mental plane rather than a physical ether. Presti closes by naming himself a hermeticist and telling listeners their own mind is the fulcrum and the savior.
Quotes
“It's it's the inability to be where you are at, which diminishes your human experience because you're always imagining being somewhere other than where you are, whether it's the fifth dimension, a higher reality, somewhere you're striving to get to that isn't where you're at.”
“So I was trying to really the purpose of this documentary is to hold people's feet back to the ground and get their heads back in this game, because we're about to lose this human race to a despotic, tyrannical group of psychopaths that represent far less than one percent of the human race.”
“But it was fascinating because the hardest part about this documentary was that I could find nobody who supported my point of view that there was no such thing as these higher dimensions.”
“And in an interesting way, the actual three-dimensional flesh and blood beings are controlled and manipulated through their two-dimensional doppelganger on paper.”
“Why don't you imagine your own universe and be in control of your own imagination? Become co-creator with this creative force called mind which can rend the day or break the day. I mean, it's up to you. Your mind is the most powerful thing in existence. Do not give it away to anybody.”
“But the important thing to recognize here about a higher dimension, if there is such a thing, there isn't really higher or lower. So it's just as fallacious as like raise your vibration, which we've talked about before. But mind has no dimension, which means mind is the one that the three are emergent out of.”
“I just really am hammering this point home because I find that the key to health is honesty, that the more honesty you can be especially with yourself, about yourself, but to everybody else as well where possible, the more honesty, the more health, vitality, vibrancy and the more self-deception, the more suffering, the more dysfunction.”
“And that's the location of the creator, which is you to the degree that you are aware that it is. That's the savior, not the fifth dimension or the ice wall or anything else. I'm poking a little fun there, but that's just, you know, that's my style. But it's all here in you.”
