Benjamin Balderson | Odin's Alchemy: The Esoteric & Electric Universal World Tree

Heathen Wizard and Odin's favorite Alchemist, Benjamin Balderson, returns to InnerVerse! This jam packed chat begins with updates on Ben's lab situation, crazy piggies, knowing our gods-given rights, and then we get into the magic of hydrogen, the metaphor of Odin merging the Aesir and Vanir, shifting from duality mind to a four elements approach, the zodiacal man, and the electric universe model. All that in just the first hour!

The Plus+ Extension is where it's at! In the second hour we go further with the electric/galvanic universe evidence, the wandering stars (planets) and how they play into the battery concept, Ragnarok and the "hard charge" in our system, the yellow sun vs. the white sun, electrolysis, the Great Work vs. the Great Reset, and a new take on the World Tree / Cosmic Egg cosmology that fits into both Mudflood theory AND the Electric Universe. BIG STUFF in this second hour, you won't want to miss it.

Core themes

5 themes
1

Odin, Mercury and the Art of Merging

Ben reads Odin as the Allfather precisely because he merged the Aesir and the Vanir and even invited the king of the Jotuns to Valhalla, while Thor only crushes ice giants and parties. In his alchemy that makes Odin the Mercury figure, the amalgamator who takes whatever pieces a transition needs. He argues Mercury is hero or villain depending on the direction of the reaction, lifting the lesser toward source in a galvanic cell and, in electrolysis, playing Robin Hood by stealing from the gold. Ben says he would rather understand Thor than be him, and he ties the Prometheus story to the same fight over free will.

2

Moving Past Duality to Four Elements

Chance questions Ben's cosmology of masculine ice and feminine fire by pointing to warmer male bodies, which sparks a playful exchange about steady men and ever-changing women. Chance then uses the yin yang to argue that once you see the negative in the positive and the positive in the negative, a duality opens into four elements, a map he checks when his flow state meets friction. Ben welcomes the shift to four, opens The Zodiac and the Salts of Salvation to the zodiacal man, and says opposite pairs such as selenium and magnesium must both be fed, with life happening in the gray, mercurial transition between them.

3

Ben's View of the World as a Battery

Ben's big talk frames the world as a battery with the moon as anode and the sun as cathode: in his view the moon has to degrade and oxidize so its charge can impregnate the sun, which then radiates energy back to us, a cycle he likens to birth. He urges reading reduction and breaking apart as chemistry rather than morality. The same logic runs through his account of George Wiseman of Eagle Research, whose Brown's gas torch he says melts titanium at a low temperature, and his claim that water, as hydrogen and oxygen, does the mercury work of the earth.

4

Rights, Order Followers and Consent

Ben describes sheriffs and EPA agents taking a battering ram to his Humboldt County lab during a cannabis sweep, though he says he grows none, and moving the lab to his upper property. Chance steers this toward his view that rights are God given, intrinsic and impossible to surrender, and that karma falls on those carrying out unjust orders. Ben adds that obeying an order is like slapping yourself on command and talks about peer pressure behind mask rules. He closes the hour arguing that YouTube was never free and that anyone wanting a different system should support one, even by buying from neighbors who grow food.

5

Grounding the Ether in the Desert

Chance describes his friend Mitch, the Orgone Donor, and his year-long Earth Pipes Across Arizona project: copper or steel tubes layered with metal and double-terminated quartz, modeled on Wilhelm Reich's orgone accumulators and planted around cell towers. The pair frame this as grounding the ether so sprayed material dissipates, and Chance says Arizona just had its biggest monsoon season on record, adding that his own gifted tower has brought mostly rain while granting that is not proof. Ben links it to Reich's cloudbuster work in the desert and to cosmologies where life rises back out of the mud and sand. Chance also suggests Ben talk with Clive de Carle.

Quotes

8 quotes
“Our rights are intrinsic to who we are, and we can only pretend that we don't have them. We can't even give them up if we tried.”
“Half of us are saying, no, what the gods gave me, I'm going to make use of, and there's a reason that I have this.”
“It's cool to have two people that stand in the authority of truth having a conversation where it's free flowing.”
“When you look throughout history, no matter what cosmology you're talking about, the Mercury character is always the most dynamic character.”
“There's positive and negative, and then there's the negative in the positive and the positive in the negative. That opens us up to four elements instead of a duality.”
“I would rather be the one that understands Thor and his place and lets Thor do Thor's thing and makes the most use of that than be Thor.”
“You need that negative element to draw things, to create that pull. You need that positive to do that push. You need both things, and they need to have an oscillating interaction.”
“We're living in their system and then complaining about how they run it. If you want a different system, support a different system.”

Tippecanoe Herbs

Kyle and Serena Denton are community herbalists creating wild-crafted and organic plant medicines out of Milwaukee since 2015. I have used their teas and tinctures on an almost daily basis for years now. Kyle is a great friend of InnerVerse and has appeared on the channel more times than I can count. These products work, not in the allopathic "pharma-medicine" way, but in a terrain-support, consciousness bolstering plant-teacher sort of way.
