Core themes
Medical astrology as an early warning system
Chance Garton opens by arguing that most people stay in denial about their health until the wheels fall off, and that a health centered reading of the birth chart can tip the scales toward acting sooner. Dominique Cordivari defines medical astrology as an ancient applied branch based on melothesia, the association of body parts, diseases and remedies with the sun, moon and twelve signs. She treats it as both a science and an art, leaning on intuition alongside the traditional rulerships, because one size never fits all when it comes to health.
The zodiac mapped onto the body
Dominique walks the whole body sign by sign. Aries takes the head, Taurus the neck, Gemini the shoulders, arms and hands, Cancer the breast and womb, Leo the heart and back, Virgo the small intestine, Libra the kidneys, Scorpio the reproductive organs and lower bowels, Sagittarius the hips, thighs and autonomic nervous system, Capricorn the knees and skeleton, Aquarius the calves and circulation, Pisces the feet and lymph. Chance says his biofield tuning work keeps confirming these pairings, especially clients with authority struggles who turn up again and again with damaged knees.
Epigenetics borrowed for the birth chart
The term epiastrology comes from splicing epigenetics onto astrology. Dominique quotes the dictionary definition of epigenetics, heritable changes in gene function without changes to the DNA sequence, then offers her own version, the study of alterations in the way your astrological and cosmic patterns express without changes to those patterns. Her slogan, borrowed from a Red Mountain natural medicine teacher, is that the stars are your tendency and not your destiny. She leans on Neville Goddard and Joseph Murphy to argue that awareness of a hard placement is what makes changing its expression possible.
Feeding the sun and reading Saturn honestly
Dominique's practical method starts with asking what a client actually wants, then works three places in the chart. The sun is consciousness and life force, so she talks about feeding it, a Libra through partnership, a fire sign through movement and heat, a water sign through baths and immersion. The moon holds emotional patterns and burns hot under stress. Saturn is the one most people would rather skip, and she insists on it, since knowing what Saturn touches and aspects is the only way to see which limits can actually be lifted.
Cell salts and real case studies
Dominique describes cell salts as the twelve inorganic mineral compounds left as ash if you burned a body, one tied to each sign, and she treats deficiency in them as a readable health problem. She reads her own health history through a Sagittarius sun squared by Saturn plus a moon conjunct Uranus in Aquarius, and notes the Aquarian salt is sodium chloride. She also walks through a calcium fluoride case, pairing the salt with matching foods and rest, and says the results were striking. She points listeners to The Zodiac and the Salts of Salvation and the sixth, eighth and twelfth houses.
Quotes
“This arcane knowledge, known by occultists since at least the time of medieval artists depicting the zodiac man, works on the association of each of the twelve signs and their corresponding houses and their relation with specific parts of the body.”
“Now, what's cool about this is in my practice with biofield tuning, I've actually had the opportunity to see some of these correlations come to life in a way that indicates to me that there was not just an arbitrary assignment of this with this.”
“When I coined the term, I wrote epiastrology as the study of alterations in the way that your astrological and cosmic patterns express without changes to those patterns.”
“But anyways, like the genes, I like to see the stars in a similar way. They are your tendency, but they are not your destiny.”
“Being aware of Saturn is being aware of your limitations and having an awareness of your limitations and what Saturn's touching, what it's aspecting gives you a lot more insight into what you can actually do to remove those limitations.”
“Basically, they are the 12 inorganic mineral compounds that make up the human body. So if you were to burn the body to ash after someone passed away, this is what you would find remaining are these 12 salts. So they're like the little workers of the body.”
“And I've seen other instances of teeth regeneration. It seems like a long shot based on how thoroughly we're programmed that that doesn't happen. But imagine what kind of signal it is to the body that, oh yeah, that's broke forever.”
“Just know that you're not bound by your astrology. Yes, you can learn so much through it, but that's your tendency. You're not literally committed to that. Fate is only fate if you let it be fate.”
