Eileen Day McKusick | Electro-Sonic Health & Human Biofield Tuning
What if the reason you're stuck, sick, tired, or can't seem to break a pattern has less to do with your chemistry and more to do with your electrical charge? That's the thread Eileen McKusick has been pulling on for 25 years, and this conversation, recorded at her first-ever appearance on InnerVerse, is where it comes into full focus.

Core themes
The Body's Hidden Electrical System
Eileen describes her next book, Electric Body, Electric Health, as a response to a culture trained to see the body chemically and mechanically. She starts from what most people already accept, the heart's pulse on an EKG, brainwaves on an EEG, bones she calls piezoelectric, and argues these are parts of one electrical system she treats as the biofield, a toroidal bubble in which she believes memories are stored magnetically. In her model the electrical body is the blueprint and the physical body the building, so she uses a tuning fork like sonar to find noise in the signal, trusting what she calls a self-tuning instrument to correct itself.
Healing as Making the Self Whole
Eileen holds that our essential being is light and that light is fundamentally indivisible, so splitting ourselves into head versus heart is, in her words, compartmentalizing with words a division that does not exist. She describes a pattern she calls a low battery, where people have given more than they received, and says inner division feeds dramas of attack and defense. Healing, she notes, means to make whole: the stuck bits of self she locates in the field behave like frozen light, and when they return to circulation she says people look as if a three-way bulb got turned up a click.
Four Ideas She Says School Left Out
Eileen argues that secular education erased the ether and plasma, two connective elements that could be mistaken for religious ideas, swapping a luminiferous medium for an empty vacuum and asking students to accept that light travels through nothing. She links that omission to Tesla vanishing from school lessons and cites Einstein's later remark that space without an ether is unthinkable. She adds two more: syntropy, the life-assembling force she refused to call negative entropy, and levity, the counterpart to gravity she says you can feel sitting beside a Caribbean steel drum band. Missing all four, she contends, is why people feel disconnected and deflated.
Trading a Dark Cosmology for Light
Chance argues that every origin story demands at least one miracle, whether a Big Bang or let there be light, and calls scientism the dominant religion of today, whose picture of space leaves each of us a speck on a speck in an empty void. Eileen recalls that hundreds of self-help books and workshops never delivered what they promised, and The Electric Sky by Donald Scott was the book that stopped her reading self-help altogether. A cosmology of black holes and randomness, she says, had been a depressing backdrop in her own mind, and moving to one of light and connection gave her new tools for old problems.
Getting Back Into Flow
Chance treats the flow state as a gauge of where someone sits energetically, recalling that after his first biofield tuning sessions on willing test subjects he caught himself making up a rhyming rap while driving with no music on. Eileen answers that electric health is flow and describes inflammation as a restriction in flow, a traffic jam with too much voltage in the wires. She built the Sonic Slider for self-care on the twelfth harmonic of the Schumann resonance, 93.96 hertz, after finding the eleventh too heavy and the thirteenth too hyper, and citing Rollin McCraty of HeartMath, she says the resonance itself is not rising.
Quotes
“The difference between human language and the frequency of nature is in the difference between a sunset and a painting of a sunset.”
“The amazing thing about the human body is that it's a self-tuning instrument.”
“We've all been taught to attack ourselves with our own minds instead of using our minds powerfully and creatively and using our words powerfully and creatively.”
“No matter what you think about the origins of the cosmos, basically you have to accept at least one miracle regardless of your belief system.”
“The ether, I believe, was taken out of our cosmological story, and our education, was made to disappear in the same way that Tesla was made to disappear.”
“A tree falls over in the forest and turns back into dirt, but new trees sprout up. And that's the nature of life, is entropy giving rise to syntropy.”
“The whole thing with any type of energy healing is, to a degree, it's going to have to be something you make your own.”
“I moved from a cosmological story of darkness and blackness and disconnection and meaningless into a cosmology of light and connection, and that was what I was looking for.”
