Resonant Remedies: Melissa Kupsch (RMDY) & Kyle Denton on Homeopathy & Herbal Vitalism

Australian homeopath Melissa Kupsch of the RMDY Collective joins InnerVerse to explore the art and science of vitalistic healing. From her own miraculous cure that opened the path, to the way remedies connect mind, body, and spirit, Melissa shares why homeopathy is more relevant than ever.

We cover case stories, symptom patterns, spagyric innovations, and the deeper philosophy behind homeopathy, not just “what works,” but why it works. This episode is a journey into resonance, vitality, and mind/body medicine.

Spirit Precedes Form: The Vitalist Premise

Chance opens by arguing that the physicalist view, that an object's qualities emerge from its material composition, is the most distorting precept of the Kali Yuga, and he points to the hard problem of consciousness, near death experiences, out of body travel and synchronicity as evidence that spirit precedes form. Melissa Kupsch, director of RMDY Academy and CEO of RMDY Collective, says homeopathy demonstrates that same principle, and Kyle Denton of Tippecanoe Herbs joins as co-host because he is a clinical herbalist who already works with homeopathy. Melissa contends the medicine was widely used historically, then suppressed, and is now in a genuine resurgence.

2

Taking the Whole Case, Not the Seven Minute Version

Melissa describes how a homeopath takes a case: at least ninety minutes, compared with the roughly seven minutes she says an Australian bulk billed Medicare consultation allows from walking in to walking out with a prescription. She asks clients for a timeline from birth, even from the womb if the mother carried trauma, right up to the present, and says many people have never been asked that question. She calls the search for the origin point the never well since, and explains that a chronic pattern recurring in cycles signals, in her framework, something blocking the vital force rather than a discrete disease to be named.

3

Resonance, Adaptation and the Story Underneath

Kyle describes customers at his herb shop drawn to a wall of jars, pulling one down like a tarot card and asking what it is good for, then recognising themselves in his answer, which he calls a cousin of homeopathic proving and a harmonizing of inner narrative rather than a fix for a disease. Chance connects this to biofield tuning, where memories surface at specific points in the energy field, and argues that trauma work is about tracing how a personality adapted. Melissa agrees, saying habits people carry guilt about, from gym compulsion to an ADHD label, are adaptations rather than identity.

4

Sympathy Versus Suppression, and the Search for the Simillimum

Melissa distinguishes acting in sympathy with the body, as with saunas or fasting, from antipathic approaches she says can amount to green pharmacy. She contrasts classical homeopathy, which hunts the simillimum across the totality of a case, with the Narayani line, bottles labelled by disease name that combine several remedies, and with the fertility protocols she used in her first five years of practice. Kyle asks whether homeopathy has an equivalent of the doctrine of signatures, and Melissa points to the Prisma materia medica, the oyster shell behind Calcarea carbonica, and the match head image behind Phosphorus.

5

Who Makes the Medicine, and the Resurgence

Melissa says her former lecturer Peter, who first introduced her to homeopathy and now co teaches the academy, works on spagyric bases for remedies and has sourced material from Sajah Popham. Kyle describes living minutes from an anthroposophical medicine clinic near some of the first Rudolf Steiner farms, where makers emphasise an upward vortex when succussing, unlike Hahnemann banging the vial on his Bible. Both stress the maker's intention and state of mind. Melissa reports 570 sign ups to the academy's first cohort, against a usual 30 students a year, and a homeopathic hospital being built in Australia.

Quotes

10 quotes
“It is spirit which precedes form, that all matter derives its qualities from an unseen and energetic essence, an essence which is eternal and unchanging.”
“If you can find a direct match in frequency from nature and you can show it to your body by ingesting it, the body will see it.”
“They'll pull off a jar off the wall, don't know what it is, bring it up to the counter and say, what is this good for?”
“Trauma healing is not just about knowing what happened or how it made you feel or how it hurt. It's about figuring out the way that your personality was affected.”
“Just because it's natural does not mean that it's a good thing to do to your body. So I like to do anything that acts in sympathy with the body.”
“I'm called an herbalist, but I like to think of myself more as like a vitalist. I can appreciate all of the vital force that's all around in nature.”
“It really does take a trained professional, that trained eye to be able to look at someone's case and find what we call the red thread.”
“One of the things that they were describing is when succussing the remedy, as Hahnemann would describe, he would bang it on his Bible.”
“If you are getting remedies from a pharmacy, you want to know who has made it, who has touched it.”
“I feel like so many people are just stuck. And homeopathy is that medicine of the spirit that can set people free, the physical, the mental, the emotional.”

Tippecanoe Herbs

Kyle and Serena Denton are community herbalists creating wild-crafted and organic plant medicines out of Milwaukee since 2015. I have used their teas and tinctures on an almost daily basis for years now. Kyle is a great friend of InnerVerse and has appeared on the channel more times than I can count. These products work, not in the allopathic "pharma-medicine" way, but in a terrain-support, consciousness bolstering plant-teacher sort of way.
