Core themes
Release Work and Dropping Self Identification
S.B. Alger described the release technique he learned from his coach, traced it to Lester Levinson, and compared it with Anthony de Mello's book Awareness. He argued that the goal of his practice was imperturbability and that saying "I am angry" builds a box around a person, while noticing a feeling of anger loosens it. Later he walked through the method: place the emotion on a scale running from apathy to peace, welcome it, find the underlying want for approval, control or security, then ask whether it can be let go and answer honestly, even when the answer is no.
Naming and Combining Healing Modalities
Chance Garton explained that calling his work sound healing made people picture singing bowls in a yoga studio, when he found it more surgical and precise, and that he hesitated to call it Biofield Tuning because he was not certified through Eileen Day McKusick's program. He described a sacral chakra moving from numb, to painful, to pleasurable as energy rises, a ladder he compared with the scale of emotion. S.B. Alger said the two approaches probably naturally went together and imagined a group session pairing Chance's sound healing with his own spoken group release.
Solfeggio Numbers and Coherent Sound
Answering a question from a participant about finding personal frequencies, Chance Garton said he valued coherent vibration, meaning peaks and troughs balanced throughout. He explained that the Solfeggio tones fell into groups of one, seven and four, two, five and eight, and three, six and nine, which kept reducing back to three, six and nine without fractions or zeros. He said he did not put stock in claims that a single frequency would liberate anyone. Others traded stories about numbers that kept recurring in their lives, and the talk turned to 42 and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Owls, Trees, and Lessons from Nature
Gordy 2Shoes told how the owls he had been spending time with watched a rattlesnake approaching their nest and never let it out of their sight, yet did not act because they knew it could not reach the young, which he called the biggest thing he had learned from the owls. Other participants said nature wastes no energy on preventative measures and described recharging beside a tree. Gordy also described an evening walk with his wife past a bush with hot dogs stuck in it, followed by owls and moving lights in the sky, which he captured on video, stressing that no claims were being made about what they were.
Gematria, Root Words, and Symbolic Patterns
One participant presented a graphic arguing that Senator Frank Church holding up the heart attack gun at the 1975 hearing echoed Perseus and Medusa, reading Church as Circe and claiming the word aloft matched Medusa in gematria. Later a caller argued that the tet, a circle with an X, was a root behind words and symbols for pillars, columns and the blue beam, and tied it to the tree of life, torsion and a coming polarity shift. Someone on the call linked these ideas to Ken Wheeler's work on magnetism.
Quotes
“If you say, I am, that's about the most powerful thing an individual can say. Because the next thing you say, you are creating yourself to be that thing. You're shoving yourself in that box, whatever it is.”
“No matter what happens, even if I do get a flat tire in the rain and I'm on the way to a wedding and I got to get my tuxedo all muddy or I miss it or to truly not care, but also not care in the aspect of being apathetic, to not care in a way that it's okay to actually be completely okay with whatever happens.”
“When you call it sound healing, people are picturing a yoga studio with like singing bowls and gongs and just kind of laying down and taking a bath and sound, which is great. Don't get me wrong. But it's not that. It is way more like surgical and precise.”
“And so I mean, they can really take care of themselves. But they just sat there and watched the thing. They never let it out of their sight, but they knew it couldn't get there. It couldn't get to the babies.”
“Because I've made a thorough investigation of my heart and found that what I want is for it to be pure and good and true and foundation in love. And so if I stick with that, then I'm good. I don't have to fear anything, even death.”
“That's not a mistake or a bad part of the process. Answering the question whether or not you can welcome something, yes or no, is still the correct process. Because if you say no, now you're at least welcoming the answer, your intuitive answer is no.”
“I've meant to get on a private call with you sometime just to compare these things because I think they probably naturally go together. And I've imagined a process where we could do a group session where you do the sound healing and I talk through a group release at the same time.”
“Sacral chakra totally blocked. You don't really feel much in your body. It's kind of like being numbed out. But a sacral chakra at low energy, you feel pain, you're in pain. But a sacral chakra in full energy, it feels pleasurable to be in your body. So that's like, we're trying to just move up that scale.”
“And the owls show up. And the big female that's been following me around the neighborhood, she comes zooming up like right into these trees because I could hear her just after maybe like 30 yards from the hot dog tree. You could hear the hoots because it's starting to get darker. And so the big female swoops up and definitely makes herself known. Hey guys, I'm here.”
“And this somebody early on goes, did you get over some sort of trauma just recently? And I'm like, what? And they said, well, do you think you might be having a shamanic initiation? And I was like, that was like the furthest thing from my mind.”
“I call it a spontaneous artist collective. And I'm not the only one that's noticing because I saw Kalina Lux saying the same thing that we're getting this sprawling interconnected effect happening across groups.”
“So first of all, I think what works in terms of sound healing is when you have a coherent vibration and by coherent, the simplest way to put it is that the peaks and the troughs are balanced the whole way through. It's going up as much as going down. And with Solfeggio, it is a particular grouping numerically where there's never any fractions and there's never any zero.”
“Now, all the other things that people say about Solfeggio like this frequency will liberate you and things like that, I don't really put stock into that. But I do think that coherent sound tones and the Solfeggio sequence is powerful and can be used with intent to do a lot of things.”
