Core themes

5 themes
1

Experiment Versus Experience

Beth Martens opens by reclaiming a word, arguing that experiment is rooted in experience and that its meaning has been inverted and abused. She says credentials alone mean little to her beside real results, and that someone who has come through a hard ordeal often has more to offer others than any degree. Drawing on her own years as a patient, she argues that so-called medical science runs experiments on people while calling them treatment. Later she turns the idea around: she wants to run the experiment herself, trying foods and remedies and owning the outcome, rather than have anyone experiment on her.

2

Mandates, Orders and Jurisdiction

Chance recounts seeing someone close to him off at the airport, where she was refused over a test ruled a day too old, then over a second test ruled twenty minutes too old after a delayed flight, and then over a rapid test that staff said might be forged, before she finally boarded on the third try. He asks how anyone deals legally with a system whose staff do not know the law, noting that people assume a mandate means law. Beth answers that in her view orders, statutes, mandates and acts are not laws but instruments of commerce whose authority holds only inside their own jurisdiction.

3

Germ Theory, Terrain and Public Health

Beth argues that germ theory can only ever be a belief, asking how something that is not alive could be transmitted, and she points to Andrew Kaufman and to Tom Cowan's The Contagion Myth while separating living bacteria and fungi from viruses. In her view the body is not immune but a detoxing machine that is always in balance, and disease is simply the balance we don't like. She says there is no such thing as public health, only the sum of individuals, and tells of a yoga teacher in India who tested full of a local microbe yet showed no symptoms. Chance links this to the body's feedback loops.

4

Self-Responsibility and the Inner Terrain

A chat comment about the university studies on Wim Hof raises homeostasis and healthy energy flow, and Beth says it all comes down to self-responsibility, which she believes people fear more than dying. She says the knowledge anyone needs is already inside them and that she follows her own intuition on whether to be tested at all. The talk turns to Clive de Carle's line that your body is not low on pharmaceutical drugs, and Beth describes fermenting her harvest, crediting lactobacilli and homemade probiotics with a major boost to her own health, while Chance adds that making them yourself seems to be the key.

5

Rallies, Community and Censorship

Chance says he prefers rallies to protests, likening protests that ask government to fix things to asking someone who beats you every day to do it five days a week instead of seven. Beth describes an open mic talk at a Manitoba rally of about three hundred people, where she called informed consent a fiction for anything untested and heard firsthand accounts that left the crowd in tears. The conversation urges isolated listeners to find even one like-minded friend, and Chance says heartfelt dialogue is why he started the show. Beth then describes a YouTube strike for medical misinformation after streaming the rally, and Patreon removing her account.

Tippecanoe Herbs

Kyle and Serena Denton are community herbalists creating wild-crafted and organic plant medicines out of Milwaukee since 2015. I have used their teas and tinctures on an almost daily basis for years now. Kyle is a great friend of InnerVerse and has appeared on the channel more times than I can count. These products work, not in the allopathic "pharma-medicine" way, but in a terrain-support, consciousness bolstering plant-teacher sort of way.
