Gematrinator (Derek Tikkuri) | Gematria, Numerical Cyphers, & The Program Code of Reality
Derek Tikkuri joins us for a math-magical show to decode the spells of language and mass-media manipulations. Better known as Gematrinator, Derek reveals numerical riddles and teaches the trippy coincidences that multiply once one begins using letter/number ciphers (Gematria) to analyze names, dates, headlines, and all the words that make up our world.

Core themes
From Skeptic to Gematrinator
Derek says his awakening came in two waves: a coworker showing him a 9/11 video in 2004, then coverage of the 2015 Charleston church shooting that felt built to make him feel something rather than report the facts. Tired of slickly produced truther channels, he found Zachary Hubbard's plain screen shares of basic numerology, ran the ciphers in Excel and eventually built gematrinator.com. He calls the 2016 World Series his turning point, when he told coworkers the Cubs would fall behind three games to one, then win in seven and in extra innings, and he credits Hubbard sharing his first video with making him known in the community almost overnight.
Is Truth Seeking a Spiritual Practice?
Chance asks whether conspiracy research, when it is authentic and really about finding the truth, is a form of spiritual work, adding that he now judges controlled opposition by how hard it tries to scare you. Derek answers that the matrix people talk about escaping is a matrix of control, a spiritual system humans take part in but which he believes is inspired by dark energies, whether called Satan or the demiurge. He leans on natural law and Mark Passio's long seminar on it, which Chance also recommends, and says a strong spiritual experience at sixteen left him hoping God will protect him as long as he is helping people.
Chance's Case That Darkness Cannot Create
Chance describes God, or the infinite, as something very like imagination, a free-flowing source of novelty that runs on its own the way dreams do, and argues that forces cut off from source cannot imagine or create, only scavenge, which he suggests is why a slave grid suits them better than mass extermination. Derek builds on it with music, contending that big radio hits are engineered scientifically rather than creatively, while the uplifting trance heard at festivals that sell out in minutes never reaches FM radio. He extends the pattern to mainstream comedians and scripted wrestling promos, arguing the system has to manipulate creative people and twist their message.
Base Ciphers and the Kobe Decode
With the gematrinator.com calculator on screen share, Derek walks through his base ciphers: English ordinal, which numbers the alphabet one through 26, a reduction that collapses each letter to a single digit, the reversed orders, Jewish or Latin gematria, and English Extended, modelled on Hebrew and Greek letter values. Along the way he argues that the name Kobe sums to 33, a number he says marks basketball legends and the crucifixion code, and that Kobe Bryant's age at death, 41 years and 157 days, matches his name's values. Chance offers that anyone hiding a message in plain sight would use several ciphers rather than one, and Derek agrees.
Sun, Moon and a Plane at Totality
Derek argues that 666 is misunderstood and really describes the geometry of the Earth, Sun and Moon, citing an axis he puts at 66.6 degrees from the plane to the Sun and a Moon diameter of 2,160 miles, and he ties the code to eclipses, including a total solar eclipse on the summer solstice in 2001. Chance recalls watching the 2017 eclipse at a small festival in Missouri, where he and one other person without eclipse glasses saw a plane cross the returning sun trailing pink clouds that nobody else he talked to noticed. Derek, who watched from Southern Illinois, calls the returning light one of the most powerful parts.
Quotes
“People tend to believe what they want to believe. They will find things to support their current beliefs before they're willing to change their belief theory.”
“I really like to try to explain to people why conspiracy research, when it's authentic and when it's basically about finding the truth, that is a form of spiritual work on yourself.”
“No matter how you squash evil, no matter how often you do it, it'll always creep back into humanity somehow.”
“One of my ways of understanding God or the infinite or the all or the totality is that it's very much the same thing as what you experience as imagination.”
“There's a reason they call it spelling when we look at words and letters, and that's because they are literally casting spells.”
“If we can play records backward and get hidden messages, why can't we turn the alphabet backwards and get hidden messages?”
“The mainstream religions, the language we're given, all these things are like an operating system that, in many ways, is coded with slavery in it.”
“Everybody knows 666 is this evil number of the beast or whatever, straight out of the Book of Revelation, but I think there's a lot of misunderstanding about what it truly represents.”
