1

How Music and Sky Began

Mike traced Music and Sky to an annual decompression gathering run by Burning Man friends in Los Angeles, which he said became a full festival when 2020 restrictions closed much of the larger scene. He described the Joshua Tree launch as sober, off grid and built around community, talks and workshops rather than headliners. Chance said he planned to attend. Mike said the October gathering in California capped near five hundred campers, served shared family dinners, hosted a children's village, and kept no backstage or VIP area. He also described a planned value for value membership platform and a workshop to certify local producers.

2

Sovereignty, Etymology, and Legal Language

Mike said the festival once carried a sovereignty label, and he defined the word as being master of your own domain. The speakers checked Webster's 1828 dictionary and talked through the French and Latin roots, and one speaker argued that living language shifts its meaning over time. Mike argued that if everyone is part of the creator, everyone is sovereign. Later Mike previewed an Alfa Vedic workshop on law and trusts, and Chance argued that the word maritime links etymologically to mort, the word for death, pointing listeners to Dylan Saccoccio's fourth book for the philology.

3

Counterculture From Punk to Festivals

Mike recalled 1990s underground raves and Orange County punk shows, and contrasted that era with what he called a far more conscious festival scene today. He said the West Coast festival circuit had grown saturated and corporate by 2020, and Chance argued that celebrity acts stand on pedestals built from advertising and marketing, which he called manufactured counterculture. When Gordy joined, he recalled seeing Bad Brains in Tucson in 1988 and said that show changed his life. Mike argued that musical scenes begin as authentic underground creation before outsiders co-opt them, and that people grow stronger when they come together.

4

Permaculture, Nature, and the Four Elements

Chance mentioned his recent interview with Matt Powers of permaculturestudent.com, and Mike said permaculture was a huge passion of his because it pairs human creativity with nature. Mike described a food forest he designed with seven layers, modeled on a forest but made edible, and said it was meant to bring the garden of Eden back. Chance observed that permaculture people share an unstoppable enthusiasm, and Mike answered that you have to love life. Later Mike said reading the Gospel of Peace convinced him that true health rests on four natural elements, sun, water, earth and fire.

5

Cosmology, Primary Water, and Falling Stars

Mike described a solo night on a mountain under the stars, and the speakers traded ideas about falling stars. Chance offered, as total speculation, that they might be beings descending from undifferentiated wholeness to incarnate, Mike suggested higher benevolent angelic hosts coming down to help, and Chance added that they could be chunks of the firmament. Mike also previewed a festival talk on primary water with Russell Anderson and a speaker he called Cosmic Sojourner, and argued that water is the consciousness of the realm and that fears of scarcity are misplaced. Chance added that solar and savior figures carry names tied to water and flow.

“The first one I ever went to was like a life or death survival experience. And it taught me that, wow, if this can be what's going on and I can still, with the power of my mind, choose that I'm going to have a good time, that means that I can do that anywhere, anyhow, and it was a huge life changer.”
“So we have the individual, which is the music. It's on the dance floor, your self expression, expressing your creative flow, whether you're an artist or musician or whatnot. And then you have the sky, which is the collectiveness. It's all of us together under the sky, under the cosmology.”
“So it was like, okay, well, we're gonna just step out on our own and do it, and show what's possible when you have a community come together based around truth, love and freedom. And it was an amazing, amazing event.”
“It could also be something like chunks of the firmament, you know, or if there really are waters above. Maybe there are. Maybe the firmament isn't this perfectly 100% sealed as we might think.”
“The real health is when as many nodes in the network are connected to as many other nodes as possible. That's the simplest way of explaining what holistic even means, or to be whole, healthy and whole.”
“Enthusiasm is my jam. It's like my favorite hexagram in the I Ching and everything. And it's en theos, you know, whenever you're enthusiastic about life, the creator and the spirit of life itself is stoked on you as much as you are stoked on life. And it's this positive feedback loop.”
“I just, dude, you've got to love life. If you're not out here just crushing life every day, you got to really start to think about why you're here.”
“But maritime, even that word, funny enough, on the etymology level, it is linked to the word for death. Mary time. It's not very far from mort time. And there's a whole philological link that people can check out really well detailed in Dylan's fourth book.”
“And it's like what I was talking about, the communication network of the organic network is all the nodes are linking to each other. And, you know, there's so many Mike Winners and Chance Gartons out there doing this. And when we find another one like each other, it's amazing because we both grow from it.”
“There is no fear about us only having 2% of drinkable water on the planet and that water is going to be this resource that NWO or whatever is going to take over and buy out, and we're going to be slave to the, no, that's not how the realm works. We have all that we'll ever need here if we just wake up to it.”
“And everybody's integrated throughout the whole weekend. Everybody camps, everybody stays there. There's no VIPs. There's no like speaker camp or anything. Everybody is all on the same page. That's super important to us. So there's no ego. There's no like, I'm a special and I'm in like backstage. There's no backstage.”
“But that's kind of my thing right now, is the four elements, and try to have them in the purest, most natural organic way that the creator has given us in this garden of Eden that is supposed to be this realm that we coexist on.”
“And Mike, your boundless energy, enthusiasm and the results of your effort are all of the evidence anyone needs that what you're doing works, and your philosophy on life is majorly full of keys and can't wait to mix it up in the real life with you.”

Kyle and Serena Denton are community herbalists creating wild-crafted and organic plant medicines out of Milwaukee since 2015. I have used their teas and tinctures on an almost daily basis for years now. Kyle is a great friend of InnerVerse and has appeared on the channel more times than I can count. These products work, not in the allopathic "pharma-medicine" way, but in a terrain-support, consciousness bolstering plant-teacher sort of way.
